GCNet Supports GRA Taxpayer Awareness Campaign
As part of the quest to improve Taxpayer records, efficiency and effectiveness of Tax Administration, GCNet has donated Public Address equipment to support the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Taxpayer Registration / Awareness campaign.
The equipment consisting of 12 Automotive PA Systems with 24 accompanying pairs of Hailers/Speakers to be installed on GRA vehicles, were handed over by Mr. Theo Quarcoo (GCNet GeGov Change Manager) on behalf of GCNet Management, in a Presentation that took place on Thursday 7th March 2013 at the GRA Boardroom.
The donation was received by Major General Karl Modey (GRA Commissioner, Customs Division) on behalf of the Commissioner General who expressed appreciation to GCNet for the donation, with GRA Modernisation Programme Office Director (Ms Valerie Ennison), GRA DTRD Integration Coordinator (Mrs. Jemimah Mills), GRA Deputy Commissioner for Communication and Public Affairs (Mr. Francis Kofi Andoh) and News Media present.
These equipment will enable the GRA to ensure that a vast majority of local Taxpayers hear the message and come forward to participate in the data cleansing and re-registration exercises.

Taxpayer and Business Registration/Re-registration
Hoping 2013 is going well for all GCNet Clients, Partners and GeGov Project Stakeholders.
Under the new automated systems being implemented by GCNet and its technical partners, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in conjunction with the Registrar-General's Department (RGD) is re-registering existing Taxpayers and Businesses and, registering new ones in order to
1. Update Taxpayer and Business Registration Records
2. Improve Service Delivery
3. Reduce Compliance Costs and
4. Promote Investment Collaboration.
Taxpayers at the GRA Domestic Tax Revenue Division (DTRD) offices i.e. former IRS and VAT Offices in Accra/Tema are urgently requested to re-register to facilitate use of the new software systems.
All individuals including Business owners, Company Secretaries, Directors and Partners behind the various RGD-registered organizations should register for their individual Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) with GRA and then proceed to re-register their organizations at RGD for new TIN and new Business Certificate.
All employers are to register their employees for TIN with the GRA.
